With an MFA in photography, a BA in marketing, and more than three decades behind the camera, I work with established professionals whose brands have outgrown how they currently look online. As a Northern Virginia branding photographer, I create strategic imagery that helps entrepreneurs and industry leaders show up with clarity, authority, and intention.

Brand photography isn’t just about getting a nice headshot—it’s about positioning and the way your visuals shape how people perceive your authority, credibility, and the level of work you do.

Inside this studio, every session begins long before the camera comes out. We look at visual authority, market perception, and how your imagery aligns with the clients you actually want to attract. The result isn’t just a set of photos—it’s a visual presence designed to make your business impossible to ignore.

Pretty photos are easy. Strategic imagery that attracts the right clients and supports real business growth takes intention—and that’s exactly what happens here.

I don’t just take photos.
I build brands.

I was a punk rock kid in art class when someone handed me a camera. The moment I looked through the viewfinder, something clicked. For the first time, I had a way to express how I saw the world.  That camera never left my side again.

What began as an outlet quickly became an obsession—and eventually, a career. But the real turning point came years later.
Like many photographers, I spent time giving clients what they thought they wanted. Safe images. Pleasant portraits. The kind of photos that look nice but don’t necessarily move a business forward.  Then I stopped. Instead, I started giving clients what they actually needed: clarity, direction, and visuals designed to support the growth of their brand. That’s when everything changed. I stopped thinking like a photographer and started thinking like a brand strategist.

Proof that punk rock kids grow up and run shit.

My relationship with photography didn’t begin as a business plan.
It started with rebellion

THIS ISN’T JUST WHAT I DO
IT’S WHO I’VE ALWAYS BEEN:

Before launching my studio, I spent more than a decade working behind the scenes at Eastman Kodak.

It was there that my understanding of photography deepened far beyond the camera. I was surrounded by engineers, chemists, and innovators shaping the future of imaging—people obsessed with how light behaves, how film responds, and how a single photograph can tell a story.

Being immersed in that world sharpened the way I see photography today.

I learned that great images aren’t accidental. They’re engineered through an understanding of light, composition, and timing. That technical foundation still influences every session I create.

Today my work blends that deep photographic craft with modern brand strategy to create imagery that feels editorial, intentional, and impossible to ignore.

Where it began.....

The clients who resonate most with this studio are the ones who know their work matters. They’re growing, evolving, and stepping into the next chapter of their brand — and they want visuals that match where they’re going.

For people building something bigger

My work attracts people who understand that visuals aren’t decoration — they’re positioning. They want imagery that reflects the level of business they’ve built and signals confidence before a single word is spoken.

For brands that
refuse to blend in

Many of my clients are consultants, attorneys, founders, and industry experts stepping into larger visibility. They aren’t looking for generic headshots — they want imagery that communicates credibility the moment someone lands on their website, opens their LinkedIn profile, or sees them featured in the press.

For professionals ready to lead the room

The people who walk into this studio usually share one thing in common: they’ve outgrown how their brand looks online. They’ve built successful businesses and earned respect in their industries, but their visuals no longer match the level they’ve reached. They’re ready for something more intentional—imagery that reflects the authority they’ve worked hard to build.
